Now you have to press the “UP” arrow, in order to increase the scanner’s resolution and then press “Ok” button to finalize your scanner’s settings.
Step4- At this step, you have to download the Brother Software patch if you are unable to scan using your scanner with the Windows XP operating system. Then double-click on the software and select your model of scanner from a drop-down box, also the method in which you connect the printer.
Step5- At last, you need to press "OK" to automatically uninstall the old firmware for your Brother scanner and replace it with the updated patched firmware. To check, restart your computer to complete the firmware update.
